Background[ | ]

Rocio was raised in San Gabriel, Ecuador. Her father was a mean man who she claims used her intelligence to make a name for himself. As a young woman, she fell in love with a man and followed him to Mexico. They had a son together. Eventually, her lover lost most of his money and became spiteful towards Rocio. They separated, and Rocio took their son to stay with her mother-in-law Ana María.

When her son was still young, Rocio came to America to look for work harvesting grapes.
